The festival is organized on the initiative of the Indonesian Embassy in Bulgaria, together with other diplomatic representations.
In addition to presenting the culture and traditions of the countries, the event advocates the 1000 CRANE campaign: in support of people diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, a cause of the MS – Moga Sam Foundation, a partner of the festival this year.
The fourth edition of the Asian Festival „Treasures from the East“ was held in Sofia on July 2, 2022, on the stage of the „Sofia Summer Festival“ in South Park II, behind the „Earth and People“ museum.
The Asian festival takes place with the support of the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Bulgaria, the Municipality of Sofia, the State Cultural Institute at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with the special patronage of the Vice President of the Republic of Bulgaria – Mrs. Iliana Yotova, who opened the fest.
More than 15,000 lovers of Asian cuisine and supporters of different and unusual drinks visited this year’s Asian Festival.
The captivating atmosphere was supported by a comprehensive program and presentation of various traditions and customs on the festival stage. A huge advertising interactive screen featured festival participants, including Moutai.
